Shetland Sheepdog
The Shetland Sheepdog, also known as the Sheltie, is a small to medium-sized herding breed from the Shetland Islands in Scotland. They are known for their agility, intelligence, and loyalty. Shelties typically stand between 33-41 cm tall and weigh around 6-12 kg. They were historically used for herding and are still excellent working dogs. Shelties are adaptable to both indoor and outdoor living, but they require regular exercise and mental stimulation. They are friendly and affectionate with their families, although they can be reserved with strangers. Proper training and socialization are essential for a well-rounded Sheltie.
