Aidi (Atlas Mountain Dog)

The Aidi, also known as the Atlas Mountain Dog, is a breed native to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. It is a medium-sized dog with a strong and muscular build. Males typically stand around 22-25 inches (55-64 cm) tall, while females are slightly smaller. They weigh between 50-60 pounds (23-27 kg). The Aidi has a protective and fearless nature, making it an excellent guardian and watchdog. It is a versatile working dog that has been traditionally used for herding, guarding livestock, and protecting its family and property. The Aidi is best suited for outdoor living, as it requires regular exercise and mental stimulation. Early socialization and consistent training are important to ensure a well-behaved and obedient companion. Although reserved with strangers, they are loyal and affectionate with their family members.
