Ibizan Hound

The Ibizan Hound, also known as Podenco Ibicenco, is a medium-sized breed originating from the Balearic Islands, Spain. It stands around 56-74 cm (22-29 inches) tall at the shoulder and weighs between 20-29 kg (45-65 lbs). These dogs have a slender and athletic build, known for their exceptional agility and speed. Ibizan Hounds were historically used for hunting rabbits and other small game. They are intelligent, independent, and require regular exercise and mental stimulation. These dogs can adapt to both indoor and outdoor living, but a secure and fenced yard is recommended. They can be reserved with strangers but are generally affectionate and gentle with their families.
