American Mastiff

The American Mastiff, also known as the Mastiff, is a large and powerful breed that was developed in the United States. It is a cross between the Anatolian Shepherd Dog and the English Mastiff. American Mastiffs have a massive and muscular build, with males standing between 28-36 inches (71-91 cm) tall and weighing between 140-200 pounds (64-91 kg). Females are slightly smaller. They have a short and dense coat that comes in various colors. American Mastiffs are known for their gentle and protective nature. They are typically good with children and can be loyal and devoted to their families. However, due to their size and protective instincts, early socialization and training are crucial to ensure they grow into well-behaved adult dogs. American Mastiffs are adaptable and can live both indoors and outdoors, but they require ample space and regular exercise to prevent obesity and maintain their overall well-being. They are not suited for apartment living. With the right care, American Mastiffs can be loving and gentle companions.
