Basenji

Basenji is an ancient African dog breed that was originally used for hunting. One of its most distinctive features is its "barkless" nature, instead making sounds that resemble yodeling or yodel-like vocalizations. Basenji is easy to handle and adaptable, although it can be somewhat independent at times. The breed is kept as an outdoor dog but can thrive with proper exercise and mental stimulation. Basenji is generally of medium size and has a height and weight that varies within the breed standard.
