Karst Shepherd Dog

The Karst Shepherd Dog, also known as the Kraski Ovcar, is a medium to large-sized breed originating from Slovenia. It stands around 55-63 cm (22-25 inches) tall at the shoulder and weighs between 30-40 kg (66-88 lbs). These dogs have a robust and agile build. Karst Shepherds were historically used for herding and guarding livestock. They are known for their loyalty, intelligence, and protective nature. Karst Shepherds require regular exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent training. They can adapt to both indoor and outdoor living but need a job to do. They are generally reserved and cautious with strangers but form strong bonds with their families.
