Finnish Hound
The Finnish Hound, also known as the Suomenajokoira, is a medium-sized breed originating from Finland. It stands between 52-61 cm tall and weighs around 20-25 kg. Finnish Hounds were bred for tracking and trailing game, particularly hare and fox. They have a keen sense of smell and a strong work drive. Finnish Hounds are primarily working dogs but can also make loving family pets. They require regular exercise and mental stimulation to prevent boredom. They have a friendly and sociable nature and are generally good with children and other dogs when properly socialized. Finnish Hounds can adapt to both indoor and outdoor living but thrive with ample outdoor activities.
