Kangal Dog

The Kangal Dog, also known as the Kangal Shepherd, is a large-sized breed originating from Turkey. It stands around 71-81 cm (28-32 inches) tall at the shoulder and weighs between 50-70 kg (110-155 lbs). These dogs have a muscular and powerful build. Kangal Dogs are renowned for their protective and loyal nature. They were traditionally used as livestock guardian dogs. Kangal Dogs require regular exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent training. They are best suited for experienced dog owners and require a secure and spacious outdoor environment. They are generally reserved with strangers and may be dominant with other dogs. With proper socialization and training, they can be gentle and affectionate with their families.
