Japanese Akita
The Japanese Akita, also known as Akita Inu, is a large-sized breed originating from Japan. It stands around 61-71 cm (24-28 inches) tall at the shoulder and weighs between 32-45 kg (70-100 lbs). These dogs have a strong and powerful build. Japanese Akitas were historically used for guarding and hunting. They are loyal, dignified, and reserved with strangers. Japanese Akitas require regular exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent training. They can adapt to both indoor and outdoor living but need proper socialization and supervision around other animals. They are generally devoted to their families but may be aloof with strangers.
