Italian Hound

The Italian Hound, also known as the Segugio Italiano, is a medium-sized breed originating from Italy. It stands around 50-58 cm (20-23 inches) tall at the shoulder and weighs between 20-28 kg (44-62 lbs). These dogs were bred for hunting, specifically for tracking scents and chasing game. Italian Hounds have a keen sense of smell and require regular exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent training. They can adapt to both indoor and outdoor living but need a secure and fenced yard due to their hunting instincts. They are generally friendly and good with children and other pets when properly socialized.
