Griffon Nivernais

The Griffon Nivernais is a medium to large-sized breed originating from France. It stands around 55-65 cm (22-26 inches) tall at the shoulder and weighs between 20-25 kg (44-55 lbs). These dogs were primarily bred for hunting large game, such as wild boar and deer. Griffon Nivernais have a strong prey drive, endurance, and excellent scenting abilities. They require regular exercise, mental stimulation, and firm but gentle training. These dogs have a loyal and affectionate nature, making them good companions and family pets.
