American Hairless Terrier
The American Hairless Terrier is a small to medium-sized breed that originated in the United States. It is a variation of the Rat Terrier breed, and as the name suggests, it is hairless or may have a very short and sparse coat. American Hairless Terriers come in two varieties: hairless and coated. Hairless individuals have smooth, warm skin that requires special care, including sun protection and moisturizing. They are generally around 7-18 inches (18-46 cm) tall and weigh between 12-16 pounds (5.5-7 kg). Coated individuals have a short and smooth coat that is easy to maintain. American Hairless Terriers are known for their lively and intelligent nature. They are energetic dogs that enjoy interactive play and mental stimulation. They are also loyal and affectionate with their families. American Hairless Terriers can adapt to both indoor and outdoor living but require proper sun protection and warmth in colder climates. Early socialization and training are important to ensure they grow into well-behaved and well-socialized dogs. They can be friendly with other dogs and children if properly introduced and supervised.
